BASICS OF ENGINEERING GEOLOGICAL MAPPING TERRITORY OF SOUTH-WESTERN UZBEKISTAN IN CONNECTION WITH IRRIGATION DEVELOPMENT

The article discusses the principles of assessing the magnitude of irrigation impact on the territory of South-Western Uzbekistan, and methods for compiling engineering-geological maps. Methodological foundations for medium-scale engineering-geological mapping have been developed based on formational and lithological-genetic analysis of the structure of the territory, taking into account epigenesis and hypergenesis. Certain questions about the principles and methods of engineering geological mapping of both irrigated and rain-fed zones are considered, the composition and content of various specialized maps are proposed.
