Building an Automatic Waste Sorting System with controller based Wireless Sensor Smart Segregation system
The sharp and terrific increment in pollution and waste, economic growth, industrialization, and urbanization have become major issues that must be addressed by nationally and internationally governments in order to maintain balance in the environment and life. The greatest economic value is defined when waste is detached at the primary level. Waste segregation at dump yards takes time, providing recycling ineffective. Waste must be separated, handled, transported, and disposed of properly in order to reduce the risk to public health and the environment. The goal of this article is to create a low-cost, convenient automatic garbage segregation. The waste segregation in this case is designed to segregate waste explicitly in a step- by-step process by using moisture sensor to distinguish dry and waste (Plastic and paper) and wet waste (peels of vegetables and fruits). They are then disposed of in the bins. Moreover, this disposed waste is easily recyclable and reusable. By use of ultrasonic sensors are used to detect the level of the bins is the project's key characteristic. With the help of GSM SIM900A, the message signal about either bin is get full or not, is sent to the owner and at the last LCD displays the weight of the wastage present in the bin.
