Global Trends and Collaborations in Green Hydrogen Research: A Bibliometric Analysis (2019-2024)
This study presents a bibliometric analysis of green hydrogen research from 2019 to 2024, examining publication trends, collaboration networks, citation impact, and emerging research themes. The findings indicate significant growth in research output, driven by global energy transition goals and substantial contributions from countries such as China, the United States, Germany, and Japan. International collaboration is increasing, with leading institutions and industry partners playing a crucial role in advancing hydrogen innovation. Thematic analysis reveals a shift from fundamental hydrogen production studies to energy storage, transportation, and industrial decarbonization applications. Citation analysis highlights the influence of interdisciplinary research and policy-driven studies in shaping the field. Future research should focus on improving production efficiency, reducing costs, and optimizing large-scale hydrogen integration. This study provides valuable insights for researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders, emphasizing the need for cross-disciplinary collaboration to accelerate the adoption of green hydrogen as a key solution for a sustainable energy future.
