Methodology to increase supplier efficiency through Scrumban and digital transformation in core processes in light logistics SMEs in the era of nearshoring
In the world there have been different production trends with the aim of achieving low-cost processes and high levels of quality. In this context, the trend of offshoring appeared years ago, the principle of which is to reduce costs by outsourcing processes in different countries whose costs are less than those of the countries of origin, these countries were located in Asia, with China being the largest representative; However, as a result of the increase in costs and the distortion of the supply chain caused by the “container crisis” caused by COVID-19, countries are changing trends in the production system, promoting nearshoring., which arises as a response to offshoring, its objective is to reduce logistics costs by searching for closer suppliers. In this context, “last mile” logistics takes on greater importance as companies seek to bring their products closer to their customers, especially with the aim of increasing electronic commerce. In the Peruvian case, being able to take advantage of this new global trend has encountered a strong limitation, since the companies in charge of this logistics are SMEs which represent 99.5% of the installed productive capacity and their limitations in productivity and technology have prevented the deployment of the logistics chain increasing logistics costs. Therefore, the motivation of this research is to provide a methodology to increase the productivity of the operations of logistics SMEs based on Digital Transformation and Scrumban.
