Improving ICU Resource Allocation through Machine Learning-Based Comorbidity-Aware Admission Prediction

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly disrupted global healthcare systems, necessitating advanced data-driven approaches to manage patient care. The dataset utilized in this research comprises detailed information on comorbid patients, including demographic profiles, medical history categorized by disease groups, blood test results, and vital signs. The study employs a hybrid index approach for ICU admission prediction using machine learning classification techniques. Strategies are developed to optimize critical resource allocation, ensuring the effective distribution of healthcare resource

Wastewater Treatment for Phenol Using Extraction with Ethyl Esters of Carboxylic Acids with Potential for Phenol Regeneration

Phenol is a toxic pollutant in the wastewater of industries such as chemical, petrochemical, oil refining, textile, and others. This study proposes a two-stage phenol wastewater treatment technology that includes an initial stage for extracting most of the phenol content in the effluents using ethyl esters of carboxylic acids as extractants. The second stage involves deep removal of residual phenol impurities within existing biological treatment systems at industrial sites. Based on an analysis of the phenol distribution between organic and aqueous phases during extraction, it was determined t

Hand Hygiene and Patient Safety: Roles of Nursing, Physiotherapy, Social Work, Laboratory, Dental Technicians, and Health Administration

Hand hygiene is vital for preventing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), yet global compliance averages only 40%. This review highlights the contributions of nursing, physiotherapy, social work, laboratory services, dental technicians, and health administration in improving hygiene and patient safety. Nursing reduces infections like CLABSIs. In contrast, physiotherapists and social workers promote hygiene during care and education. Laboratory staff and dental technicians ensure contamination-free environments, and administrators allocate resources and enforce policies. Technological innov

Artificial intelligence Applications in Pre-Hospital Care

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming healthcare across various domains, including pre-hospital emergency medical services (EMS). The integration of AI technologies such as machine learning, predictive analytics, and voice recognition tools enables EMS teams to provide prompt and accurate care, often before patients arrive at the hospital. This article examines the incorporation of AI in pre-hospital care, with a particular focus on the use of portable ultrasound devices, machine learning algorithms, and voice-activated technologies. These advancements are critical for detecting and man

Solution of Population Growth PDEs Equation with Diffusion

In this paper, we discuss the solution of nonlinear PDEs. We deduce that the population v diffusion fasten than u. We get the growth rate of the population u is larger than v. For simplification using inversion formula of Fourier transform.
