Performance Comparison of Three Control Strategies for Microalgae Growth Using PIL Simulation

Microalgae are microorganisms that use the energy of sunlight to fix carbon dioxide and to produce oxygen and biomass rich in bioactive compounds. Several models of continuous cultures of these microorganisms are found in the literature. However, this type of non-linear and time-varying bioprocesses generate models do not consider all the dynamics and some of the intrinsic parameters of the cells. This development has prompted researchers to explore different control strategies aimed at monitoring a predetermined operational trajectory (the total biomass, CX*(t)) within a continuous microalgae

Effect of Different Frequency, Voltage, and Electrical Fields on The Pasteurization of Arenga Sap (Arenga pinnata) Using Ohmic Heating

The preservation of palm sap is challenging due to its complex nutritional content, specifically at room temperature. One effective preservation method is pasteurization using ohmic heating which extends shelf life, without compromising the nutritional content. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate changes in the chemical characteristics of pasteurized Arenga sap when subjected to various frequencies and voltages to generate a certain power. Ohmic heating was performed at a controlled temperature of 65 ℃ with variable frequencies of 250 Hz, 150 Hz, and 50 Hz as well as certain voltages

An Electronic Control Unit for Early Detection of Vehicle Engine Overheating

Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) get overheated due to several unavoidable reasons. The consequences of missing a timely shutdown of the ICE can be serious and the engine can be considerably injured. In this paper, a novel, efficient, and reliable electronic control unit for providing ICE Overheating Early Detection and Alarm (OTEDA) is proposed, implemented, and tested. Regular sampling of the engine block temperature and the rate of temperature change within a cooling system stressing period is used to establish an engine’s thermal signature. The theory of early detection based on the eng

Quality characteristics of giant swamp taro (cyrtosperma merkusii) and warty sea cucumber (stichopus horrens) enriched noodles

The main trust of t this study was to determine the quality characteristics of Giant Swamp Taro (Cyrtosperm merkusi) and Warty Sea Cucumber (Stichopus horreans) Enriched Noodles and assess its level of liking and preferred packaging in three treatments in terms of appearance, aroma, taste, texture and overall liking as basis for technology package. It was conducted in the six BISU campuses, Anda Technology and Livelihood Education secondary schools and Anda beach resorts and restaurants. Specifically, the study sought to analyze the proximate composition and shelf life of the products. An expe

THE CORRELATION BETWEEN A BUSINESS'S OVERALL ACHIEVEMENT AND THE EFFICACY OF ITS SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

The literature does not adequately explain the relationship between overall organizational success and the efficient management of supply networks. There is a shortage of research on the variations in supply chain efficacy and supply chain businesses' corporate social responsibility (CSR) throughout North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Using information from Bloomberg Finance, Brand Finance, Gartner Supply Chain Group, and other sources, this article aims to close the discrepancy in the existing literature. The study used critical statistical procedures such as chi-square tests, multiple r
