Reduce Carbon Dioxide Emissions at Intersections Which Cross The Railway

Frequent traffic jams cause an accumulation of vehicles at intersections adjacent to railroad crossing gate, which results in reduced road service functions, loss of vehicle function as a means of transportation, waste of fuel energy, and increased CO and CO2 levels in the intersection area these four. The absence of integrated control between traffic lights and the opening and closing of railroad crossing gate causes traffic jams. Therefore, integrated control must be carried out, especially during and after a while when trains cross the highway. One of the cases raised in this research was a

Impact of different Dielectric material on a Tri-band Micro-strip patch antenna for Wireless Applications

Developing low-dielectric materials has opened new paths toward developing highly efficient microstrip Patch antennas for wireless applications. This paper presents the performance of various dielectric materials, having dielectric constants ranging from 2 to 5. The rectangular microstrip patch antennas for WiMAX, WLAN applications have been designed and fabricated. Substrates used to design the antennas are FR4 glass epoxy, RT Duroid, and Rogers with dielectric constants of 4.4, 2.2, and 3 respectively. The thickness of the substrates is fixed at 1.52 mm. A comparative analysis based on retu

Research of Autonomous Navigation for Mobile Robots Using Karto SLAM Algorithm Under ROS

Researching navigation for mobile robots to follow the desired trajectory is crucial to ensure their swift and accurate movement while avoiding obstacles. Most mapping techniques rely on Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), which involves creating a map and determining the robot's position by collecting data from sensors like Lidar and cameras. The Karto SLAM algorithm is a graph optimization method that utilizes ghosts. It optimizes the Cholesky factorization and does not require iterating to solve sparse systems. The map is represented by the mean value of the histogram, with each n

Reducing Lead Time in Fast Food Companies by Lean Service and Work-Study – Case Study

The gastronomic subsector in Peru represents 23.97% of GDP. However, according to research, one of the main problems that plagues the fast-food industry is delivery time, which in Peru is above the world average. The objective of this research is to improve the levels of lead time and productivity in the production process of a fast-food company. Likewise, increase the efficiency of the process by reducing transportation and reprocessing to avoid order failures. The proposed innovative operating model integrates the use of lean manufacturing tools such as 5S and Poka Yoke, complemented by a di

Reducing Waiting Times in Geriatric Hospitals through Lean Healthcare Tools: A Service Model

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate how Lean tools can be used to decrease waiting time for outpatients in a geriatric hospital. The study also evaluates the critical success factors of Lean implementation in the outpatient process. To achieve this, a three-phase service model was proposed, including problem analysis, implementation, and verification. The proposed solution includes the use of Standard Work, Kanban Board, and Poka-Yoke methodologies under the Lean Healthcare approach. The current and improved scenarios were simulated using the Arena software. The study's results showed

Textile Optimization: Integrated Strategies to Boost Productivity and Employee Motivation in the Era of Nearshoring

One of the primary objectives of businesses is to enhance their productivity, as it contributes to reducing inefficiencies in processes and leads to increased customer satisfaction, thereby enhancing profitability. Consequently, one of the goals of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is to increase their productivity to ensure their growth, with the textile sector being no exception. Faced with rising transportation costs for products manufactured in China, as well as logistical chain distortions caused by COVID-19 and increasing fuel costs, textile consumer markets have opted for nearsh
